MERAPI AND SEMERU TREKKING AND BROMO VOLCANO

START/FINISH: YOGYAKARTA - SURABAYA AIRPORT

DAY 01 : JOGYAKARTA ARRIVAL - SELO VILLAGE

Arriving at the airport Adi Sucipto, transfer to Selo Village 60 km, the northern slope of Mount Merapi which is a tranquil village. Lunch on the way. Overnight at a Selo Pass. (L, D)

DAY 02 : SELO VILLAGE - MOUNT MERAPI (RETURN)

Start around midnight to reach the summit at sunrise, transfer to Cepogo village (1.600 asl). After the permission administrative, with the specialist local guide, climb to top Mount Merapi (2.911 asl). After going down, back and rest at the hotel. Enjoy the beautiful mountain scenery. (B, L, D)

DAY 03 : SELO VILLAGE - MALANG

After breakfast, start at 07.30 AM, transfer to Malang as far as 325 km. Lunch on he way. Overnight at the hotel. (B, L, D)

DAY 04 : MALANG - TUMPANG - RANUPANE

After breakfast, start around 09.00 AM transfer to Tumpang village as far as 15 km. After medical check up at small hospital, by jeep 4WD transfer to Ranupane village (2.200 asl), via the ramp on the Tengger mountains. Overnight at Homestay. (B, L, D)

DAY 05 : RANUPANE - RANU KUMBOLO - KALIMATI

After breakfast and a permit process in the office of Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park, trekking by crossing the hills track, about 5 hours to Ranu Kumbolo (2.400 asl). Get launch here and at the same time enjoy the beautiful lake. Then to Kalimati (2.700 asl) about 3 hours through Oro-Oro Ombo Savannah and Jambangan Woods. Overnight in tent. (B, L, D)

DAY 06 : KALIMATI - MOUNT SEMERU - RANUPANE

Start around 01.00 AM, summit attack to summit. After through the Arcopodo (2.900 asl) that the limit of vegetation, after that found the gravel walk and stone path with slope till 45°. On the highest top at Java island (3.676 asl) if lucky, can be looking small eruption from Semeru Mountain. Go down and after the breakfast at Kalimati then continue to Ranupane village and overnight at Homestay. (B, L, D)

DAY 07 : RANUPANE - CEMORO LAWANG BROMO

After breakfast, 09.00 AM, by using jeep 4 WD through the sand field, pass way to Jempang (2.400 asl). Arrive at Cemoro Lawang, rest at a hotel and enjoy beautiful view Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park. (B, L, D)

DAY 08 : CEMORO LAWANG - PANANJAKAN - BROMO - SURABAYA

Start around 03.30 AM, by Jeep 4WD we’re cross the Sand Field at the height (2.100 asl) goes to Mount Pananjakan (2.770 asl) for watching the sunrise and panorama Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park. Then with ride a horse we’re visiting Bromo volcano (2.392 asl) and Pura Luhur Poten that the place for prayer of the Hindu Tengger society. Back to the Hotel, breakfast and transfer to Djuanda Surabaya airport as far as 125 km, or Other destinations in Surabaya. End Program. (B)
