RAUNG VOLCANO TREKKING AND IJEN VOLCANO

Duration: 05 Days / 04 Nights

START/FINISH: SURABAYA

GRADE : MODERATE

Mount Raung 3.332 (m asl), including the volcano is still active with the type stratovolcano. The caldera has a peak circular, with dimensions of approximately 750 meters x 2.250 meters, always remove smoke and flame. Recorded since 1593 has experienced an eruption as many as 57 times.

DAY 01 : SURABAYA ARRIVAL - BONDOWOSO

Arriving at Juanda Surabaya airport, by private car transfer to Bondowoso as far as 200 km. Lunch at Probolinggo. Overnight at hotel. (L, D).

DAY 02 : BONDOWOSO - SUMBER WRINGIN - PONDOK MOTOR - PONDOK MAYIT

After breakfast around 06.30 AM, transfer to the Sumber Wringin Village as far as 30 km. After the permit process, transfer to Pondok Motor (1.100 asl) as far as 7 km, through coffee plantations and some remote villages. Trekking meeting under tropical rain forest trees. Sometimes sounds and even met with primates or wildlife. Arriving at the Pondok Mayit (2.500 asl) and overnight in tents. (B, L, D)

DAY 03 : PONDOK MAYIT - RAUNG SUMMIT - BONDOWOSO

Start around 04.00 AM. Summit attack to Mount Raung (3.332 asl) passes through Base Camp Angin (2.750 asl). Deden Hidayat monument, a vegetation boundary, here will be found rocky and steep path. Caldera Rim crater 2.250 meters, with a depth of 750 meters. If the weather is sunny, can be seen on the east side of Mount Agung (3.142 asl) on the island of Bali, and the west side looks Mount Semeru (3.676 asl). Wringin down to the source and transfer to Bondowoso. Overnight at hotel. (B, L, D)

DAY 04 : BONDOWOSO - BANYUWANGI

After breakfast around 09.30 AM, transfer to Banyuwangi as far as 130 km. Lunch at a local restaurant in Ketapang. Overnight at hotel. (B, L, D)

DAY 05 : BANYUWANGI - IJEN - SURABAYA

Start at 03.30 AM, using by jeep 4WD transfer to Pal Tuding place as far as 40 km. Trekking as far as 3 km to the Ijen crater lake (2.368 asl). Down to the sulfur mining area and the turquoise acid crater lake. Activities traditional sulfur miners can be seen directly. Back to the hotel, Lunch at a local restaurant in Ketapang area. Transfer to the hotel in Surabaya as far as 290 km. End Programs. (B, L).

Notes : If you want to transfer to Denpasar (Bali island), it will cost extra.
