MOUNT SEMERU TREKKING

START/FINISH: MALANG

OPTION ONE :

DAY 01: MALANG - TUMPANG - RANUPANI

Pick up at the hotel around 08.00 AM, transfer to Tumpang village as far as 15 km. After medical check up at small hospital, visit to Candi Jago and Candi Kidal (with traditional transportation called Dokar), and continue by 4WD jeep to Ranupani Village (2.200 asl) via the ramp on the Tengger mountains. Arrive on the Ranupane Village around afternoon. Enjoying the sunset on Ranu Regulo Lake, which can be located within walking distance of the inn. Overnight at Homestay. (L, D)

DAY 02 : RANUPANE - RANUKUMBOLO - KALIMATI

After breakfast and a permit process in the office of Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park, trekking by crossing the hills track, about 5 hours to Ranu Kumbolo (2.400 asl). Get lunch here and at the same time enjoy the beautiful lake. Then to Kalimati (2.700 asl) about 3 hours through Oro-Oro Ombo Savannah and Jambangan Woods. On arrival, guide team will prepare your tent and dinner while you relax and enjoy surroundings view, overnight in tent. (B, L, D)

DAY 03 : KALIMATI - MOUNT SEMERU - RANUPANE - MALANG

Start around 01.00 AM, summit attack to summit. After through the Arcopodo (2.900 asl) that the limit of vegetation, after that found the gravel walk and stone path with slope till 45°. On the highest top at Java island (3.676 asl) if lucky, can be looking small eruption from Semeru Mountain. Go down and after the breakfast at Kalimati then continue to Ranupane village and transfer to Malang. End Program (B, L)

OPTION TWO :

DAY 01: MALANG - RANUPANI - RANUKUMBOLO

Pick up at the hotel in Malang in early morning, transfer to Tumpang village. After medical check up at local hospital, continue by 4WD jeep to Ranupani Village (2.200 asl) via the ramp on the Tengger mountains. After a permit process in the office of Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park, trekking by crossing the hills track, about 5 hours to Ranu Kumbolo (2.400 asl). Get lunch here and at the same time enjoy the beautiful lake. Guide team will prepare your tent while you relax and enjoy surroundings view, overnight in tent. (L, D)

DAY 02 : RANUKUMBOLO - KALIMATI

After breakfast and prepare, trekking to Kalimati campsite by crossing through Oro-Oro Ombo Savannah and Jambangan Woods. On arrival ini Kalimati, guide team will prepare your Lunch while you relax and enjoy surroundings view, overnight in tent. (B, L, D)

DAY 03 : KALIMATI - MOUNT SEMERU - RANUPANE - MALANG

DAY 03 : RANU KUMBOLO - RANUPANI - MALANG

After breakfast, go down to Ranupani Village for 3-4 hours. While waiting check out permit, we sightseeing on Ranu Pani lake and Ranu Regulo lake, and trannsfer to Malang. End program. (B, L)
